OT Pia Beck

At Vendlet we value professionalism and knowledge. We do not just sell equipment - we are specialists in matters relating to the bedridden patient. Therefore, we place great emphasis on counseling and teaching.
 
To support and develop this, we have just employed occupational therapist Pia Beck as an educational consultant. The position covers teaching and clinical research.
 
Previously, Pia was an employee of Master CARE, where, in recent years she has served as health and ergonomic consultant. Earlier, Pia worked as a work safety consultant in a municipality, where she among other things was responsable for the training of moving and handling instructors.
 
Pia is a highly competent and professional occupational therapist. For several years she has served as a guest lecturer at various educational institutions for occupational therapists. Pia taught modules containing working environment, repositioning and bariatrics. Additionally Pia is a member of the Danish Bariactric Council, where her special focus is on repositioning and ethics. Pia is also frequently used an external examinator at the Occupational Therapy education.
 
As something new in the industry Vendlet wants to focus on creating clinical evidence on matters relating to the bedridden patient, for example, in relation to shear and friction. Pia will have an important role in this work, where she actively will have to review the existing literature and studies, as well as helping to make and evaluate new studies. A new and exciting process we at Vendlet are looking forward to.
