All the positioning and support cushions in the LEJRELET line have documented pressure-relieving effects. LEJRELET Tube 125, Oval and Pad Low are filled with anti-decubitus viscoelastic foam. Pad High and Wedge have a polyurethane foam core to ensure stability and a lining of viscoelastic foam.

LEJRELET cushions can be wiped clean with water and disinfectant liquids or poured over with boiling water. We recommend that the pillows are not machine washed, as water can seep through the seams, after which the foam takes a long time to dry. The cover cannot be removed, and we recommend that no other cover be placed on the outside of the pillows, as this may reduce the effects of the cushions.

What is the cover of the positioning and support cushions made of?
What kind of filling is used in the LEJRELET cushions?
The LEJRELET Tube 125, Tube 250, Pad Low and Oval are all made of 100 % viscoelastic foam. The foam is pressure relieving, provides a large support surface and high comfort for the client, as the foam forms in the desired position.
LEJRELET Wedge and Pad High are both made with a core of polyurethane foam covered with visco-elastic foam. This combination makes the cushions firm and supportive as well as provides an effective pressure relieving quality.
Can I remove the cover from the positioning cushions?
No, you can not. All the covers are either welded or sewn together. The only model with a zipper is the LEJRELET Pad High. It is made that way purely out of constructional reasons. The cover is not intended to be removed and we do not sell spare covers for the cushions separately.

LEJRELET Tube 125 is a 125 cm long cylindrical body support pillow. This support cushion can be used to support the body in the side-lying position, to calm, and provide comfort and tactile stimuli.
LEJRELET Oval is a small positioning pillow developed for micro-positioning. This small cushion can be used as an abduction cushion, lumbar support, or for relieving pressure on ears, elbows, hands, feet, and heels.
LEJRELET Pad High is a square and firm pressure relieving positioning cushion ideal for providing leg and knee support. Place one leg on top of the pillow to relax the hip and create a comfortable side-lying position.
LEJRELET Wedge is a slanted positioning cushion that can be used to create stable positions. The wedge-shaped cushion can be placed in front of the client’s chest or at the back to create stability in the side-lying position.
LEJRELET Pad Low is a flat and moldable support cushion that can be rolled up or folded to suit the individual situation. For instance, fold the cushion and place it between the client’s feet and the footboard of the bed, or roll it up and use it under the neck. Pad Low can also be placed on top of LEJRELET Pad High or Wedge to heighten them.
